Too many extra items included
I am very pleased to get these Pelican case catches. They are hard to find - so thank you.
To me they were expensive, with postage and exchange from Euro - New Zealand dollars
There was too much packing, too many promotional documents, and too many emails, most not relevant, because I am not in Europe
I only wanted 2 Pelican case latches. They are strong enough to need almost no packing.
How much extra did all these extra items, and the resultant postage cost.

Hello Dave, thank you for your feedback. Concerning "to much packaging" -> there are rules for packaging for international shipping. These rules make sure that the package can be sorted and handled automatically by machines. Therefore also small items must be packaged in a minimum sized box. We are using boxes made from grass combined with recycled paper. They are closed using paper based tape. The complete package can be composted or recycled. We are shipping CO2 neutral when possible. This means the CO2 emitted during transport is compensated. As for the (CO2 neutral produced) "promotional materials" & shipping protocol explaining your customer rights: We do not make any difference if you are in the EU or abroad. If you are and end consumer, you have the same data protection and online commerce rights for us. And we inform you about this. Being located in NZ you were able to access spare parts and repair your product instead of trashing it. This makes me happy. Another win for the environment. If you need to rate this experience less then excellent, so be it. As long as the environment wins, everybody wins. Best regards from Germany. Niko
